Investor Suitability

Is this fund right for you?

Suitable for

This fund is designed for investors seeking long-term capital growth through a blend of capital appreciation and income generation, via an interval investment strategy that combines equity and debt securities with limited short exposure through derivatives.

Market Scenario Performance

How this fund may behave across cycles

In Bull Markets

In rising or positive markets, the fund is positioned to participate in the upside through its equity and equity-related allocation (35-75% of assets), while its arbitrage, special-situations, and derivative strategies aim to add incremental, less-correlated returns on top of market gains.

In Bear Markets

In falling or bearish markets, the fund seeks to cushion downside through its allocation to arbitrage, debt, and short strategies, with the ability to short securities or indices up to 25% of net assets. Risk is further managed through a sector-neutral, well-diversified approach and active hedging of open positions during periods of volatility.

In Sideways Markets

In range-bound or volatile-but-directionless markets, the fund is designed to perform well, drawing on its arbitrage, special-situations, and options-based strategies (such as covered calls and volatility plays) that can generate returns independent of clear market direction.

Where Does This Fund Fit?

Understanding the fund's role in your portfolio

Closest mutual fund equivalent

Positioned on the risk-return spectrum between an Arbitrage Fund and a Conservative Hybrid Fund — offering an "Arbitrage-plus" return profile with marginally higher volatility, and a return pattern largely uncorrelated with broad equity market movements.

Where it fits in your portfolio

The fund is built to serve as a diversifying, moderate-risk sleeve within a broader portfolio — blending capital appreciation and income generation across five drivers: equity and equity-related instruments (including arbitrage and REITs), high-quality accrual-oriented debt, short-term special-situation opportunities (buybacks, IPOs, open offers, QIPs, mergers/demergers), volatility- and factor-based derivative strategies, and income-generating InvIT units, together with a controlled short book for downside protection. This combination is designed to generate returns that are largely uncorrelated with broad equity market movements across market cycles, occupying a distinctive space between traditional mutual funds, PMS, and AIF structures.

Taxation

How returns from this fund are taxed

Long-term capital gains (units held more than 12 months) are taxed at 12.5% on gains above Rs. 1.25 lakh, while short-term capital gains (units held 12 months or less) are taxed at the investor's applicable income tax slab rate.

As disclosed by the AMC. Consult a tax advisor for your specific situation.
