What makes this different from a standard MF NFO
₹10L minimum is aggregated at PAN level, not per scheme
If you already hold ₹10L in another SUNDARAMSIF strategy, you don't need a fresh ₹10L for this fund — the threshold applies across all SIF strategies from the same AMC under your PAN.
Accredited investors are exempt from the ₹10L threshold
Accredited investors — certified by an accreditation agency — can invest below the minimum. For individuals and HUFs, SEBI's criteria are annual income of at least ₹2 crore; or net worth of at least ₹7.5 crore, with at least ₹3.75 crore in financial assets; or annual income of at least ₹1 crore plus net worth of at least ₹5 crore, with at least ₹2.5 crore in financial assets.
Unhedged short exposure capped at 25% of net assets
This is a SEBI-wide cap on all SIF strategies, through exchange-traded derivatives. Positions taken for hedging and portfolio rebalancing don't count toward this limit.
Asset allocation
SEBI definition · Equity Ex-Top 100 Long-Short
At least 65% in stocks outside the top 100 by market cap; up to 25% unhedged short exposure in non-large-cap stocks.
Invest mainly in listed equity, with up to 25% unhedged short exposure through derivatives. Open-ended or interval; redemption up to daily.
SEBI limits that apply to every SIF strategy
At most 10% of NAV in the equity of any one company; at most 20% of NAV in debt of a single AAA-rated issuer (16% for AA, 12% for A and below), extendable by 5% with trustee and AMC board approval; at most 25% of net assets in debt of one sector; and cumulative gross exposure of no more than 100% of net assets.
Investment strategy & objective
An open-ended equity investment strategy investing in equity and equity related instruments, with the flexibility to include limited short exposure in equity through derivative instruments of Ex - top 100 stocks
Liquidity & investment restrictions
SIP, STP, and SWP permitted, provided your aggregate SIF balance stays at or above ₹10,00,000
Open-ended — subscriptions and redemptions at the frequency stated in the ISID
Redemptions you make can't take your total SIF investment below ₹10,00,000; if a fall in NAV takes it below, you can only redeem the entire remaining amount
